Last month, on 17th December Belvoir Home Care hosted a charity fun day for all their clients. Sarah-Jane Hooley organised the event for the clients and it proved to be a great success!
On the day there were a variety of stalls selling cakes, plants and bric-a-brac, a raffle and entertainment provided for the clients of Belvoir Home Care.
Belvoir Home Care is a family run independent business, with Lorraine Durrance as the Registered Manager. Lorraine has for many years been involved in providing care and support for their clients, who may suffer with Alzheimer’s or other diseases.
Belvoir Home Care is committed to ensuring that all people will have an equal opportunity to maximise their quality of life within a culture that positively welcomes equality and diversity. Belvoir Home Care recognises the need for clients, to feel confident in the knowledge that Belvoir Home Care provides up-to-date training for its Care staff and that clients feel safe and secure from the support they receive within their own home.
They provide a range of comprehensive and flexible home care support packages, tailored to meet each individual’s needs. The business has been running since 2011 and provides at least an hour of good quality care a day for each client.
The initial purpose of the charity day was to get clients out and about from their homes. Some of the clients may feel lonely and isolated especially at Christmas time so this was a great way for everybody to get into the festive spirit and have some fun!
As well as this, the clients were overjoyed that twenty children from Robert Miles Junior School came to sing them some carols and Christmas songs, old and new to spread some festive cheer!
The Rector David Harper of Saint Mary and All Saints Bingham, delivered a short carol service to round off the day for Belvoir Home Care’s clients and visitor.
